Deal Breakers: A Live Dating Show + Singles Mixer

THE OVERVIEW:

Here’s the deal: we’ve pre-selected four of LA’s most eligible singles to hit the stage, each pitched by a hype team to a room full of potential suitors (the audience). Like what you see on stage? Signal your interest through our event technology and you could be called on stage to compete for their heart. Prefer to watch? You can vote for your favorite competing suitors with our event technology, cheer on the action, or just enjoy the chaos unfold. It’s a show.

Guiding the madness is Jared Freid, comedian, podcaster, and star of Netflix’s 37 & Single. Known for his sharp, hilarious takes on modern romance, Jared keeps the night lively, funny, and full of surprises as love, laughs, and deal breakers collide.

Here’s how the night will flow:

The Pre-Show Mixer:

Start the night with cocktails, conversation, and a little matchmaking magic. Upon arrival, set up your event profile using our custom technology, helping the behind-the-scenes matchmaking team identify your most compatible connections. You’ll also get a first look at the singles being pitched, so you can signal your interest before the show even begins.

The Show

Under Jared’s guidance, LA’s most eligible singles take the stage one by one, each pitched by their hype team to the crowd. Audience members can signal their interest at any point during the pitch. Behind the scenes, our matchmakers select the top three interested guests, who are then called on stage to compete for love. With the help of Jared (and the audience), suitors face deal-breaker Q&As and challenges until only one remains. The single then makes the ultimate choice: take a chance on their finalist or stay single and mingle.

Then? We do it all over again with the next single.

How the Audience Plays Along

This isn’t a show you just watch, you’re part of it. Every guest has the chance to:

• Build a dating profile that feeds into our matchmaking algorithm.
• “Heart” the singles being pitched they’re interested in, signaling to our matchmakers who wants a shot.
• Vote in real time to help decide which suitors move forward and which get eliminated.
• After the show, guests can use the matchmaking system to see which audience members they are compatible with during the post-show mixer
