Hike Club Meetup

This hike provides a great workout and some fantastic views as a reward. The steepest part is at the start, followed by a steady incline up Mount Hollywood. The views from the top of the Griffith Observatory are spectacular.

You'll mostly be walking along fire roads, which are well-kept but can be slippery due to the sand and small rocks. Sturdy shoes will help with the slopes. The trail also passes through the old LA Zoo, where you can see where some of the animals were kept and even walk into some of the old enclosures.
