The Semi-Tropic

The Semi-Tropic is an actual cocktail bar where bringing your laptop during the day is completely normal. Happy Hour runs until 6pm, which is also your deadline: laptops need to disappear at 6 when the space officially transitions from workday hangout to neighborhood bar.

Bodega Wine Bar
Location: Santa Monica
Bodega might be one of the easiest places in LA to accidentally spend an entire workday. It’s bright and laptop-heavy during working hours, then gradually turns into a proper wine bar. Come early for serious productivity and stick around for the reward.

Highly Likely
Location: Highland Park, West Adams + Studio City
Highly Likely is built for the person who wants coffee, a real meal, WiFi, and eventually a cocktail without relocating. Its all-day spaces have plenty of tables and a steady daytime laptop crowd, making it easy to settle in for a few hours. Highland Park opens at 8am and officially allows laptops until 5pm, giving you a nice long window before the restaurant shifts more firmly into dinner mode.

Benny Boy Brewing
Location: Lincoln Heights
If you'd rather answer emails with a pint than another latte, Benny Boy is one of LA’s best brewery workspaces. SALT Restaurant & Bar
Location: Marina del Rey
Working next to the marina is significantly nicer than working next to your laundry pile. Alcove / Big Bar

Bar Bandini

Common Space is basically built for spreading out with a laptop and a beer. The Hawthorne brewery has a massive taproom, two beer gardens, plenty of tables, and seriously fast fiber WiFi. Grab something from the rotating food truck, pick a spot, and settle in for the afternoon.
